Biblical Text Analysis

In-depth study of selected biblical books and narratives. We draw on multiple disciplines such as linguistics, literature, and history to achieve a deep understanding of these texts. Texts are read in Hebrew and French; knowledge of Hebrew is recommended but not required.

Modern Hebrew – Levels 1 to 4

Modern Hebrew courses for all levels. Level 1 (beginner): learning the alphabet and language basics. Level 2: for those who master basics and present tense conjugation. Level 3: for those who have completed an 'alef' level manual, mastering verb forms and past tense. Level 4: ulpan for advanced levels, taught entirely in Hebrew with oral expression, press, and Israeli music.

Biblical Hebrew Grammar

Hebrew belongs to the Semitic language family. This course, designed for beginners, starts with the grammatical foundations of biblical Hebrew. Alongside the language, we also explore the historical-critical study of selected texts, combining this approach with Jewish exegesis.

Introduction to Judeo-Spanish

Judeo-Spanish, also known as Ladino, is the language spoken by Jews expelled from medieval Spain who settled in the territories of the Ottoman Empire. It is a Romance language with a Castilian base and Hebrew, Turkish, Greek, and Iberian components. This course covers the fundamentals of the language.
